The issue

As a person living with disabilities, everyday tasks can present immense challenges. Communication is one of these challenges, it's often taken for granted by those who experience its ease. However, for those with disabilities, especially those that affect speech and auditory processing, it's a constant battle to have one's voice heard and understood. It's not a privilege, but rather a basic human right. Our demand is simple: ACC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) communication boards should be mandatory on all 111 transportations.

ACC boards are lacking these.

Furthermore, Article 9 of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities commits countries to identify and eliminate obstacles and barriers and ensure that persons with disabilities can access their environment, transportation, public facilities, and services. Making the ACC communication boards mandatory on 111 transportations would be a significant step in fulfilling this commitment.

Let's work towards a world that respects and facilitates the communication needs of all its citizens, regardless of their abilities, because everyone should have the right to feel heard. Join us in calling for this fundamental change. Please sign this petition.
