As an essential government employee myself, who worked tirelessly and without pay through the shutdown, it's disheartening to see only a portion of essential workers being recognized in this manner.

This petition calls upon the federal government to extend the same $10,000 bonus to all essential workers who continued their duties without pay during the shutdown. Essential workers across various departments ensured the continuity of crucial services and maintained the function of our government despite financial uncertainty. Their unwavering dedication and commitment deserve equal acknowledgment and reward.
