🇸🇬 UPDATE: 208 SIGNATURES AND OUR NEXT STEP FOR FSD IN SINGAPORE

Firstly, thank you to every single person who has supported and signed our petition.

We have now reached 208 signatures, representing a growing group of Tesla owners and supporters who simply want greater clarity about the current status of Tesla Full Self-Driving (Supervised) — FSD (Supervised) — in Singapore.

When I started this petition, the intention was never to demand that Singapore approve FSD immediately.

Singapore has very high road-safety standards, and technologies such as FSD (Supervised) understandably need to go through the appropriate regulatory and safety assessments before they can be introduced here.

What we are asking for is much simpler:

Where does Singapore currently stand on Tesla FSD (Supervised)?
Many of us own Teslas that are technologically capable of increasingly advanced driver-assistance features, and we see FSD (Supervised) continuing to develop internationally.

But here in Singapore, there is still very little publicly available information about the current situation.

Has Tesla approached the Singapore authorities?

Has FSD (Supervised) been submitted for evaluation?

Are discussions already happening?

Has any local testing or assessment been considered?

And most importantly, what would need to happen before FSD (Supervised) could potentially be introduced in Singapore?

We don't want to speculate about the answers.

We would rather ask the relevant authorities directly.

📩 Step 1: Writing to LTA
With the support of the 208 people who have signed the petition, I will be submitting feedback to the Land Transport Authority requesting clarification.

This is the message:

Subject: Request for Update on Current Status of Tesla FSD (Supervised) in Singapore

Dear Land Transport Authority,

I am writing on behalf of a group of Tesla owners in Singapore regarding the current status of Tesla Full Self-Driving (Supervised), or FSD (Supervised), in Singapore.

We recently started a community petition requesting greater clarity on this matter, and 208 owners/supporters have signed the petition so far.

We would like to emphasise that the purpose of this petition is not to request that LTA immediately approve FSD, nor do we wish to make assumptions about any discussions that may or may not currently be taking place between Tesla and the Singapore authorities.

Our request is simply for greater clarity on the current status.

If possible, we would appreciate LTA's guidance on the following:

Has Tesla FSD (Supervised) been submitted to LTA or the relevant authorities for evaluation in Singapore?
Has there been any engagement with Tesla regarding the potential introduction of FSD (Supervised) locally?
Is FSD (Supervised) currently undergoing, or expected to undergo, any form of local evaluation or testing?
What broad regulatory and safety requirements would need to be satisfied before such a system could potentially be made available in Singapore?
Is there any current roadmap, next step or indicative timeline that LTA is able to share?
We fully understand that road safety must remain the priority and that certain regulatory or commercial discussions may be confidential.

However, with FSD (Supervised) technology continuing to develop internationally, there is considerable interest among Singapore Tesla owners in understanding where Singapore currently stands.

The response to our petition — currently 208 signatories and growing — reflects this interest.

We therefore respectfully hope that LTA can provide an update or direct us to the appropriate department or authority that can provide further clarification.

📩 Step 2: Writing to Minister for Transport Jeffrey Siow
I also intend to write separately to Minister for Transport Jeffrey Siow.

This is not about bypassing LTA. Rather, I believe it is useful for the Ministry of Transport to know that there is a growing community of Tesla owners interested in understanding Singapore's position on this technology.

This will be my message:

Dear Minister Siow,

I am writing as a Tesla owner in Singapore and on behalf of a growing group of fellow owners interested in the development of advanced driver-assistance and autonomous-driving technology in Singapore.

We recently started a community petition seeking greater clarity on the current status of Tesla Full Self-Driving (Supervised), or FSD (Supervised), in Singapore. At the time of writing, 208 owners/supporters have signed the petition.

We hope to understand where Singapore currently stands.

Tesla has been developing and expanding FSD (Supervised) internationally, and naturally there is considerable interest among Singapore Tesla owners about whether the technology is being considered or evaluated here.

We would therefore be grateful if the Ministry or LTA could provide some clarity, where appropriate, on whether Tesla has approached the authorities regarding FSD (Supervised), whether any evaluation or discussions are currently taking place, and broadly what regulatory and safety requirements would have to be met before such technology could potentially be introduced in Singapore.

We fully appreciate that Singapore must take a careful and safety-focused approach towards autonomous and advanced driver-assistance technologies. We support such an approach.

We also recognise that certain regulatory discussions or commercial information may be confidential. We are simply hoping that whatever information can appropriately be shared with the public could be communicated to the growing community of Tesla owners interested in this technology.

As owners of vehicles that may potentially support increasingly advanced driving capabilities, greater clarity would help us understand Singapore's direction and the regulatory pathway ahead.

Our request is not simply: “When will Singapore approve FSD?”

Rather, we respectfully ask:

“What is the current status of Tesla FSD (Supervised) in Singapore, and what would need to happen for it to be considered here?”

We hope you and your colleagues at the Ministry of Transport and LTA can help provide some clarity to the community.

Once these messages are submitted, I will wait for an official response from LTA and/or MOT and share any substantive reply with everyone here.

I also want to make something very clear.

This petition isn't about pressuring our authorities to approve technology before it is ready.

It is about asking a reasonable question on behalf of Singapore Tesla owners:

Where are we now?
If FSD (Supervised) has not yet been submitted or evaluated, let us understand that.

If discussions are taking place but details cannot yet be disclosed, we can respect that too.

If there are specific regulatory or safety requirements that need to be fulfilled, it would be useful for the community to understand them.

And if there is a pathway towards eventual evaluation or introduction, we would appreciate knowing what that pathway looks like.
