Request TTD to restore the 2022 policy to allow nominee/member changes after every Darshan
The Issue
In 2022, after the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) improved its online donor system, donors experienced a sense of inclusion and engagement that was lauded by many. This enhanced system allowed Trust Donors to change their nominees after each Darshan with a simple 15-day waiting period. This process was treasured by thousands of devotees as it enabled them to share the divine blessings of Lord Sri Venkateswara with different family members, relatives, and friends over time.
However, recently, a new policy was introduced by TTD in July 2026 that places a restriction on nominees / members changes 3 times in entire lifetime/ donation validity period 25 years. This decision has inadvertently curtailed the privileges and flexibility once appreciated by donors, leaving many feeling disheartened and excluded from sharing the spiritual journey with their loved ones. This policy change not only limits the engagement of donors but also diminishes the experience of spreading the spiritual bounty to a wider circle.
Many devotees made substantial donations post year 2022 to various TTD Trusts listed in https://tirupatibalaji.ap.gov.in/#/edonation with the legitimate expections that the donor privileges with nominee/ member changes option available at the time of their contribution would continue throughout the validity of donation account. Restoring 2022 policy of nominee/ member changes option after every darshan will strenghen donors confidence in TTD's commitment to honoring the privileges associated with donations.
This petition aims to appeal to the TTD to reconsider this restrictive policy and reinstate the 2022 policy, which was transparent, efficient, and favored by the majority of the donor community. Restoring this policy would respect the wishes and intentions of the donors who contribute selflessly to the temple and wish to extend the divine experience to more individuals.
