Over 7.75 Lakh Pune Property Owners Avail Tax Rebate; PMC Nets ₹1,411 Crore Revenue
This year’s collection is slightly lower than last year’s ₹1,415 crore, when 7.87 lakh property owners had taken advantage of the same rebate. The civic body began distributing property tax bills on May 1 and initially offered the rebate till June 30. Following requests from citizens facing payment challenges, PMC extended the deadline to July 7.
Meanwhile, the Maharashtra government’s 40% concession on residential property tax for self-occupied single properties benefitted 1.25 lakh new property owners this year. These beneficiaries submitted the PT-3 form to claim the rebate.
