Petition updateRequest the Resignation of Angela McArdle as National Chair of the Libertarian PartyLNC Treasurer stands up to McArdle's Bullying Tatics

Today, it was revealed that LNC Treasurer, Bill Redpath, has replied to several attacks that McArdle made towards him.

"Madam Chair:

As you know, not only am I Treasurer, I am also the National Ballot Access coordinator for the Libertarian Party. The period starting immediately after the National Convention through the date of the last petition drive deadline (this year, September 6) is the busiest segment of the four year political cycle for LP petition drives.

And, I am not an armchair warrior in this effort. Due to the current petitioner shortage, I am currently in Rhode Island on the 39th day since Memorial Day of my being a full time petitioner to get the Oliver/ter Maat ticket on the ballot. I have also been to New Mexico, Minnesota, Kentucky and Tennessee in this effort. So far, I gathered 3,642 signatures (most volunteer) and donated $13,500 to two states to get the Oliver/ter Maat ticket on the ballot.

Given that the LNC is tasked with supporting the LP presidential ticket, I would hope that you might cut me some slack in my getting up to full speed in the role of Treasurer. But, maybe not.

But, what has gone so wrong with financial reporting?

Federal Election Commission reports have been filed on a timely basis.

Internal financial statements through July month end have been forwarded to the LNC, I believe on a timely basis.

I delivered an oral Treasurer's report at the LNC meeting, but the data in the financial reports are not complicated and largely speak for themselves.

I have told you and Kathy Yeniskavich several times that I am available to work on the Washington Hilton Hotel bill, but I am not cognizant that either of you have reached out to me on that.

I am always available by phone, and you know my number, but I don't recall you contacting me about any specific Treasurer's task that you wanted or needed to be done.

It is true that I need to dig in deeper in my role as Treasurer. And, I will do so starting no later than Monday, September 9. But, I don't see much harm to the party by what has transpired since Memorial Day.

Bill Redpath"

Seems that, unlike McArdle, Mr. Redpath has been keeping the LP bylaws to heart and helping the presidential ticket with getting on the ballot in several states. After all, Mr. Redpath has a long history in the party since 1984, and served as LNC Chair from 2006 to 2010.

McArdle definitely continues to show how much of a spring chicken to how the national party runs things, despite this being her second (and, hopefully, final) term.

Please continue to spread the word and share this petition to fellow Libertarians across the country who is tired of McArdle's unprofessionalism and actions.
