Not enough Signatures

Sadly, I have to report that we are short by 1 home and signature to move forward with the petition to the board for a special meeting to openly discuss the changes to the building standards for roofs.  While the DRC and board did approve an amendment, the building standard for roofs still needs to be rewritten for the following reasons:

1. Limited to 2 manufacturers, yet we know that other manufactured shingles are being approved.
2. The Celotex shingle noted "Presidential Line" is not the level of shingle that is on any house in this neighborhood prior to the hail storm. 
3. Celetex is no longer an actual company.  It was acquired by CertainTeed in 2001 yet our covenants were drafted in 2012??!!
4. Roof valleys noted as "Bronze" and not complementary to the roof shingle color
5. Weathered Wood is still stated as the preferred shingle color

Per our original appeal, we resubmitted our request to the design review committee and have not been approved as of today.
