My auntie, the principal at Central, has recently been informed that her contract will not be renewed for the upcoming academic year. This decision made by the school board was given without any clarification or reasoning, causing a wave of confusion and distress amongst us. Being an alumnus of Central herself, this job holds immense importance to her. She has dedicated her entire career to Central, pouring her heart and soul into the school and its evolution. It's painful to see her commitment and contributions simply tossed to the side so unceremoniously.

There is research to support that changes in school leadership can disrupt the educational process and negatively impact student performance (Grissom et al., 2013). Additionally, a report by Fullan (2001) suggested that educational change relies on the role leaders play within the school system. As Central Alumni, our principal's vast experience and understanding of our school's unique needs is pivotal and irreplaceable.

We believe transparency, explanation, and an opportunity for reconsideration are vital. Therefore, we call on the school board to revisit their decision and provide a thorough reasoning for the same to ensure fairness and transparency in the process.
