As residents of the townhouses situated next to Marche Leo's grocery store & restaurant located at 4208 Dundas Street West, we are concerned about the odour and noise emitted by the store's exhaust systems that face directly into our homes at ground level with no barrier.

We are personally affected by this issue, as the loud noises disrupt our daily lives and the cooking odours permeate our homes. Our patios, which should be an area of relaxation, have unfortunately become an inhospitable space due to the strong smells and loud noises. The situation has turned so severe that many of our neighbours are reporting to have headaches, and some have even started moving out of their homes to escape the unpleasant living conditions. 

This is not only an inconvenience, but also a health issue. Exposure to the strong odours repeatedly can lead to headaches and nuisance, while the constant noise contributes to environmental noise pollution, which is a well-documented public health issue, according to the World Health Organization.

We believe in Marche Leo's capacity to address this matter promptly in the best interest of all stakeholders. We're not asking the store to stop operating, nor completely relocate, but to acknowledge our grievances and move their exhaust system to a point where it will have less direct impact on neighbouring residences.
