Request Leniency for Past Criminal Charges Based on Personal Transformation

Request Leniency for Past Criminal Charges Based on Personal Transformation
The Issue
I’m writing this because this is something life altering and I’m deeply passionate about. It will not happen without the support of people like you! Starting a petition isn’t something I would normally do, but I was moved to do so because of the livelihood of my children are at stake alongside my freedom.
This petition is a plea from the heart, a call for understanding and compassion. Once lost in the depths of despair and addiction, I have since risen from the ashes to rebuild my life. In the aftermath of Covid-19, I found myself homeless and heartbroken, unable to see my children while struggling with drug abuse. Despite these hardships, I strived to maintain a business aimed at feeding and educating others perspective of the vegan lifestyle.
Today, I stand before you as someone who has completely turned my life around. I am a single father and have gained custody of two of my children and have left behind the dark past and people that led to my current criminal charges.
Douglasville community members are urged to consider this transformation when reflecting upon these charges. According to data from Georgia's Department of Community Supervision, individuals who demonstrate significant behavioral changes often show lower rates of recidivism than those who do not.
This petition is not just about one person's redemption; it's about our collective ability as a society to believe in second chances and personal growth. It sends out a message that people can change if given an opportunity; that past mistakes should not define our future forever.
Please sign this petition asking for leniency on my criminal charges (possession with intent to distribute marijuana & possession of a firearm by a convicted felon) and a request of house arrest based on demonstrated personal change and commitment towards betterment. I know I’m not alone and together we can make this change happen.
Please sign and share! Thank you, from the depths of my heart!
