Request holiday for class 9 to 12 students in Lucknow due to cold weather

Request holiday for class 9 to 12 students in Lucknow due to cold weather
The Issue
In recent days, Lucknow has been experiencing an intense cold wave, with temperatures plummeting to unusually low levels for this time of year. The district magistrate has responded to this situation by rightly announcing holidays for students up to class 8 until January 8th. However, students of classes 9 to 12 have been excluded from this much-needed hiatus, and instead, their school timings have merely been adjusted to commence from 10 AM to 3 PM.
While this adjustment is appreciated, we students of classes 9 to 12 face unique challenges during this extreme weather. Traveling to school in the biting cold is not only uncomfortable but can also lead to health issues. Furthermore, with our academic syllabus largely completed, this period becomes crucial for preparing for the upcoming board exams for classes 10 and 12. A holiday in this context could provide us with valuable time to study and prepare efficiently from the comfort of our homes, avoiding unnecessary exposure to harsh weather conditions.
We urge the district magistrate to consider the plight of senior students and extend the holiday to us as well, ensuring our safety and academic betterment. Allowing us to study in more favorable conditions will not only preserve our health but also enhance our focus and concentration, leading to better performance in our exams.
We kindly request support for this petition. By signing, you are advocating for the well-being and academic needs of class 9 to 12 students in Lucknow, enabling us to utilize our time effectively while safeguarding our health. Please sign this petition to show your support and encourage the authorities to take necessary action in favor of extending holidays to our classes as well.
