Request Glen Eira City Council to amend parking restrictions on Elliott Avenue

Request Glen Eira City Council to amend parking restrictions on Elliott Avenue
The issue
I am an owner occupier on Elliott Avenue, Carnegie, and have been experiencing significant difficulty in finding parking on our street due to the current parking restrictions imposed by the Glen Eira City Council.
With four major apartment blocks situated in our street alone, it has become increasingly challenging for the residents, including myself, to park close to our homes without the risk of incurring fines.
The present restrictions limit parking on Elliott Avenue from 7am to 11pm, which is far too broad and does not consider the needs of the local residents.
After a long day, it is frustrating and unfair to be unable to park near one's own home. This is more than a mere inconvenience; it is a stressor that affects our daily life and overall wellbeing.
Many residents share this sentiment, feeling the constraints of these parking limits, yet feeling powerless to change the situation for the betterment of our community. It is crucial that our voices are heard and that the council takes our concerns seriously.
I urge the Glen Eira City Council to reassess and amend the restricted parking hours on Elliott Avenue to better cater to the residents of Carnegie.
A reasonable adjustment would allow for free parking after usual working hours, as is the case on Belsize Avenue, Tranmere Avenue, Jersey Parade and Neerim road.
By signing this petition, you are supporting a change that would positively impact the Carnegie community, allowing us to live in harmony with the urban development around us while ensuring fair access to parking for all residents.
Let's unite in an effort to bring about this change.
