I just first want to say, I love RTR and I subscribed to RTR Unlimited about a year ago and it’s really made my wardrobe more exciting and fun. 

Concern for the environment is one of the primary reasons I have been a loyal member and an evangelist for RTR. I imagine a lot of their fan base feels the same way. RTR even touts themselves on a mission to make fashion sustainable, but some of their actions don't reflect this mission. 

Unfortunately Rent the Runway clothing comes wrapped in plastic liners. And more recently they have opted for plastic exterior bags instead of their classic cloth garment bags. This is extremely disappointing!!

This needs to change. It’s not environmentally friendly and extremely concerning! RTR says that they recycle the liners, but I cannot imagine all of the plastic liners go back to them, people just throw them away. First, I'm concerned that these are in fact not getting recycled and second, recycling is not a good solution.

I would really love an option to opt out of the plastic for myself. But what would be even better is if there was a way to eliminate the plastic for all RTR clients. With this petition, we are asking RTR to please reinstate the exterior cloth garment bags and eliminate use of the plastic liners.
