We, the undersigned commuters, respectfully appeal for the extension of the operating hours of LRT-2 beyond its current closing time of 9:00 PM.

Many workers and students finish their classes, shifts, and responsibilities around 9:00 PM or later.  Unfortunately, by the time they leave their schools or workplaces, the train system is already nearing closure or has stopped operations entirely. This leaves thousands of commuters struggling to find alternative transportation, often resulting in longer travel times, higher transportation costs, and increased safety concerns late at night.

LRT-2 serves major universities, offices, and business centers across Metro Manila. Extending its operating hours would greatly benefit the commuting public, especially:

• Students attending evening classes
• Employees working overtime or late shifts
• Workers affected by heavy traffic and delayed dismissal times
• Daily commuters who rely on affordable public transportation
• We respectfully request that the management consider extending LRT-2 operations by at least one to two more hours, particularly on weekdays, to better accommodate the needs of the public.

This simple adjustment would significantly improve commuter convenience, accessibility, and safety while promoting more efficient use of public transportation.

We sincerely hope the concerned authorities will take this petition into consideration for the welfare of the riding public.
