If you are wondering the direct effect the Council's changes are on CTG have a look at some of the extra costs these changes will add per year if nothing is done to rectify the situation. All figures are based on the actual 2024 usage of the theatre with the cost imposed by the Council for a 4 hour call. Performances are not included as they are always paid for. We also only ever use the venue when there are no other hirers (FYI the theatre was hired for 91 days in 2024 to a total of 14 other businesses)

• Rehearsals - $25,920
• Meetings - $1,932
• Youth Group - $11, 040
• All Day Rehearsals/Info session/Auditions - $12,480
• Maintenance days (Lights etc.)/ Working Bees/ Set Building - $6720

This is a total cost to CTG per year of $58, 092 for us to continue making theatre for the future and is not even a viable option for us to continue working. We must be allowed to continue in the venue and not have the Council render 70 years of work obsolete
