On June 25th, 2026 formal follow-up letters were sent to Mississippi Attorney General Lynn Fitch and Mississippi State Auditor Shad White regarding the citizen petition submitted on May 27, 2026 on the Vicksburg Police. The purpose of these letters is straightforward: * Confirm that the petition was received. * Ask whether it is currently under review. * Ask whether a response can be expected. The letter attached to this update is the one being sent to Attorney General Lynn Fitch. A similar letter has also been prepared for State Auditor Shad White. The goal of this petition has always been to encourage transparency, accountability, and respectful civic engagement. Every step of this process will continue to be documented publicly so supporters can follow the progress from beginning to end.
