For too long politicians have written themselves out of the laws they pass in order to avoid the consequences of their actions. They can hold tyrannical power over the people without having to obey the laws they’ve created because they wrote themselves out of it. They don’t have to pay taxes, they can do insider trading that is illegal for everyone else and many many other examples that might take too long to write down. We are essentially apart of a lower caste from government officials, and it’s absolutely disgusting. Regardless of who you are, Democrat, Republican, Third Party this needs to be stopped. This Politician Accountability Act proposes that any law ever passed on the citizens of this country also applies to the people in office with no exceptions. It proposes that they are held to the same standards as every other law abiding American. My belief is that P.A.L. will fix multiple problems within American society today, and I ask for your help to pass it.
