Os advogados do Governo e da ENI/GALP tentam anular a acção popular interposta pela ASMAA invocando ilegitimidade da associação para representar milhares de pessoas que se opõe aos furos petrolíferos, pelo que foi publicado um anúncio, apelando aos cidadãos e organizações para que comuniquem ao tribunal o seu apoio à acção, de modo a garantir que a mesma será julgada e não anulada com base em truques administrativos.

Foi na sexta feira dia 21 setembro 2018 publicado no jornal Público (página 40) um anúncio do tribunal Administrativo e Fiscal de Loulé, dando nota a todos os interessados para intervirem, num prazo de 10 dias a contar desta publicação, na acção contra os contratos petrolíferos no mar do Alentejo, e para declararem nos autos se aceitam ser representados pela ASMAA nesta acção.

A ASMAA disponibiliza uma minuta para este efeito, que deve ser preenchida, assinada e digitalizada para ser enviada para o tribunal, e com uma cópia para a nossa associação.

Dear friends

Lawyers for the Government and ENI / GALP seek to annul the class action by invoking the illegitimacy of the association to represent thousands of people opposing oil drilling. As a result the court issued a ruling, whereby citizens and organizations are invited to communicate in writing that they support of ASMAA’s class action to the court. ASMAA now needs your support, in order to ensure that the class action will proceed and be judged, and not overturned solely on the basis of administrative tricks by the opposing legal team.

In spite of what is being argued by the opposing parties, we lodged the class action with the legitimacy we have to represent the tens of thousands of people who opposed and continue to oppose the deep offshore drilling off the coast of Aljezur.

ASMAA has published a draft letter that you can use to express your wishes to be represented in the class action by ASMAA - so long as you are a citizen of an European Union member state. This letter must be filled in, signed and posted and/or emailed to the court. Please email a copy to ASMAA as well.
