Dear friends and supporters (With videos in PT) We appeal to you on three levels, as donors, supporters and as individuals that care. And we ask for your financial support and to round-up your friends and fund raise to help us meet the costs of the fast approaching court cases. Deadline to raise a big chunk of funds for our legal costs is 6 April. We are reaching the end of the road as far as the ENI/Galp threat is concerned. All that is stopping them at present is one piece of paper from the Portuguese Environmental Agency. Nothing else. Once they get that ... the only alternative left is the courts. But not only do you need to have your claims and arguments well substantiated, all legal cases cost money, and lots of it. Bur we also desperately need to raise funds both to help with our running costs as well as for the legal fund. We have stopped ALL of our normal income raising activities in past few weeks, and we have focused 100% in the Galp/ENI serious threat, and will need to continue to o so for the next 6 weeks at least. As you can imagine this is placing tremendous pressure on us, both physically as well as mentally when not only are we working ourselves to death, but we are also worrying how are we going to pay the associations monthly commitments. (Our bank is again down to the last 150€ - and although we are thankful for all the donations received, the fact is that it does not help us to cover the costs that we have incurred in past two months and are incurring daily) We are a very small team, as you all know. And the pressure is taking its toll on all of us. The deadlines for us to do something are very, very short. We are talking a few weeks at most. We are short for monthly overhead costs: 1,600€ THAT WE HAVE TO PAY OUT BY FRIDAY AT LATEST. and our updated budget for the legal case is now 30,000€ which we need to have by 6 April - we have raised 1,350€ on this round so far, and there's various fund raising activities now running to help us meet our budget deadline. The 30,000€ budget is to cover such things as legal fees from our hard-working legal team, court fees, documentation that we have to pay for, consulting fees from experts, transport, tools, telecommunications, and other miscellaneous.
