On February 19, 2017 our community was struck by tragedy when our beloved friend, Bobby Unruh, lost his life when he was struck by a vehicle while working a tow call on Interstate 40.  

In NM, there is the "Slow Down, Move Over" law for all emergency vehicles which requires you to do just that....Slow Down, and Move Over.  But did you know that tow trucks are not considered emergency vehicles in NM according to state statutes?

Please sign this petition to change the law to include tow trucks as emergency vehicles, so that the Slow Down, Move Over law applies to them as well.  This is a very dangerous job, and we need to offer all the protection we can.  This petition will be forwarded to NM State Representative Dennis Roch so we can change the law, and stop losing lives!
