Say NO to Collection Station Next To Keystone Heritage Park

The Issue

El Paso’s Keystone Heritage Park contains a wetlands and bird preserve, a valuable archaeological site and the El Paso Desert Botanical Gardens. Not only is Keystone important as a natural and historical setting, it is a valuable asset for eco-tourism that can bring millions of dollars per year to El Paso. Yet, the Environmental Services Department of the City wants to build a major trash collection station next to Keystone. Plans have been finalized and construction can start before summer. The station will disrupt the wildlife habitat and potentially destroy further archaeological finds. The noise will dissuade people from visiting the park and steal eco-tourist revenue from the City.
