The points above are from Annex 7 (Overview of Public Opinion) of the UK Governance Project Final Report (previously referred to in my update of 5 April).

While this petition does not specifically include the appointments made by HOLAC (House of Lords Appointment Commission), by extension, the desire to see change in this system too in order to restore public confidence in our parliamentary democracy is inextricably linked with this petition. And the subsequent points, including the statistic from the Omnisis 2021 poll stating that 72% of respondents believe that political party donors should not be awarded an honour, speak volumes.

As speculation with regard to when the next General Election will be, please help keep this vital subject at the forefront of public attention by sharing and promoting this petition so that we can be part of the movement to bring about positive change.
