As a student in the public school system, a phone ban is just putting students like myself at a higher risk. Not only does it limit our communication with parents if something goes wrong but also gets rid of easier access to calling 911 if say a medical emergency or shooting happens, and god forbid it ever happens if i die from a school shooting I dont want the last words to my family to be "I love you too" or " Have a good day". The Texas government has done absolutely nothing to prevent school shooting and there has been an increase in them aswell to the point I and my peers dont feel safe. I think we should remove the phone ban which is restricting faster help, and make gun laws stricter.
