Hello Friends!

Easter and Vaishaki is the time of renewal and rebirth. We hope that the Board of Knowledge Network which met on 14th April, 2022 also took time to consider its  options and seek a new vision and leadership for the organization.

We haven't heard any feedback from the meeting and are all waiting to see what the outcome of our advocacy is. The people on the mountain top are silent.

In the meantime, we are sharing with you in serialized format, a letter we addressed to Minister Melanie Mark and the Board making a detailed case for a new executive leadership at the public broadcaster. Please find attached - PART I.

In PART II we will continue with our take on metrics of success as well as race and representation.

If you want to know how you can help and make a small difference, here is an idea. It will take less than 5 minutes.

Please send a letter to you MLA and cc pamelat@knowledge.ca (executive assistant to the President and Board).

subject: Seeking an update on petition to Board of Knowledge Network

Dear MLA So and So,

I am one of the 538+ signatories from across BC who has signed an ongoing petition seeking a new vision and executive leadership for our local public broadcaster Knowledge Network. Here is a link to The Petition

The Governance Board of KN met on Thursday 14th April to discuss the situation. I would like to know if there are any updates from that meeting and how the Board of Directors of this provincial funded organization plans to address our call to equitable action.

Sincerely,

My Name
