13 away from 500 signatures and we are still building our momentum.

Two days after our petition mysteriously disappeared from this platform, we still have no answers from Change.org as to what happened and why. Big Tech - even one that supposedly supports changemakers - remains mysteriously silent.

Yesterday Playback and POV, the industry magazines, published news of our petition and also the first official response from the Board. The statement did not explicitly address the call to replace the President but did say that the Board of Directors is "responsible for setting the strategic direction of Knowledge Network and has set performance measures to ensure that we fulfill our commitment to improve equity and inclusion."

Reading the tea leaves here, the Board is going to punt on replacing the President. They will keep him in place because to do otherwise will mean admitting that the environment is toxic. That they made a mistake.

Which means we stay in place too and broaden our coalition of voices. Please join us in securing more support, more signatures, more media, more hands raised together against systemic racism in our province.
