Today our industry's biggest magazines - Playback and POV - carried our petition and the Knowledge Board's response to it. We are engaging with the people in power.
The biggest Documentary festivals in Canada - Hot Docs and DOXA - are talking about equity and diversity as part of their own lead-up to their festivals.
And there is still more media in Richmond News, Indo-Canadian Voice and other sources to come.
Keep signing, keep writing your MLAs, keep at it, good people. We all deserve a less antiquated and genuinely progressive provincial broadcaster.
We believe our public airwaves need to be as diverse, as equitable, as bad-ass, as inclusive as we are. It needs to reflect us, be our mirror and our voice.
