I am a transgender youth who was born and raised in Texas, and expected to live in Texas until it was time for college. I went to a magnet school, which was also the best school in my area, and it took me a lot of effort to be accepted to go there. I was happy in Texas, but that all changed when I was forced to move away from the state due to our terrible governer, Greg Abbott, passing a law that made it illegal for transgender youth to get access to life-saving gender affirming care. It is heartbreaking to see the state I grew up in make a turn for the worse, and I'm sure any other LGBTQ+ people who grew up in a state that made a similar law can empathize with that sentiment. Please sign this petition so that we can attempt to bring transgender rights back to Texas!
