Repeal/oppose the new laws allowing the testing on animals for cosmetics in UK

The Issue

The government has changed laws which were previously protected under our status within the EU. This new law allows the testing of certain chemicals on animals, often rats, by force feeding/inhaling potentially hazardous chemicals to humans, meant for cosmetics. The heads of major companies such as Unilever, Boots and Body Shop already support cruelty free products and are unlikely to change with the new laws. This therefore means the new law is purely for monetary gain for a small number of firms, which goes against the fundamental principles of most who agree that cruelty to animals or humans is not acceptable purely for monetary gain
