Beginning in just over one months time on Jan. 1, 2025, cities across the state of California will begin issuing fines to anyone caught parking in the AB416 restricted zones (prohibits vehicles parking within 20 feet of any crosswalk in the direction of approaching traffic, whether it’s marked as no parking or not).  In San Francisco for example these fines will START at $40 https://sfstandard.com/2024/11/10/san-francisco-loses-thousands-parking-spaces/
