Every day, as I drive up to the South Kitsap High School Explore academy and barn, my vehicle violently hits the concrete due to a poorly designed speed bump. The bump dips down, causing the front of my car to slam into the ground below it. This is not just an inconvenience; it's a safety hazard that could lead to serious vehicle damage or even accidents.

This issue affects not only me but also every student, teacher, parent, or visitor who drives up this road. It's crucial for our community in Port Orchard, WA as well as the school that this speed bump is repaired and improved.

According to data from the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety (2017), poorly maintained roads contribute significantly to car accidents across America. While we don't have specific statistics for our school road yet, we can't ignore the potential risk this poses.

In order to bring light to this situation I have decided to start this petition to inspire change and hopefully have this speed bump repaired to promise road safety on our school campus.

We urge local authorities and school management to take immediate action on this matter. We need a safe and comfortable driving environment around our educational institutions - starting with fixing this first speed bump at South Kitsap High School Explore academy.
