2025
We noticed house #4 was also starting to build over the safety passageway. So we tried to see what was happening down the other end and found out that house #2 had closed the passageway completely. So, this time around, we filed a safety complaint to reopen the entire safety passageway.

15 Aug 2025 - MBPJ.024288 filed

Since 15 Aug 2025 to date, we have documented our journey and slowly tagged local representatives and eventually local news outlets as well as there's been a lot of stagnation on the local representatives and MBPJ front.

All of our updates can be found here on change.org and on our https://www.instagram.com/mbpjcommunity/

22 July 2026 - MBPJ representatives contacted us and visited our home. They appeared to be taking measurements and informed us that they will use the data to make a plan and file a notice letter to the homeowners of house #2, 4 & 6 of Jalan 5/35.

In total, it took MBPJ 2 years, 11 months, 23 days before they showed up to take the measurements.

We will continue to document this journey on change.org and https://www.instagram.com/mbpjcommunity/ until the safety passage is reopened.

This data will be useful to understand what it takes to affect change on a grassroots level in local neighbourhoods around Malaysia.
