Reopen the Reuse Shed at Northern Civic Amenity Site in Ramsey for Public Use

The Issue

We demand that the reuse shed at Northern Civic Amenity Site in Ramsey is reopened.

All those that sign this petition, as ratepayers and users of the site, need the reuse shed to be opened by the end of October.

On a personal level, as well as those of my constituents, the reuse shed at NCAS holds unparalleled value. We, deeply invested members of this locality, have seen the ways in which this facility has enriched our community. The ability to pass on unused items and collect objects for reuse from the shed bonded us, while also contributing to a sustainable way of life. However, our bond and collective sustainability are being jeopardized as the shed remains closed for public use.

The lack of access to this shed not only hampers our community interaction but also poses a threat to our consumption habits. Recycling and reusing items saves tons of carbon dioxide and ensures that items have a longer, more sustained life. Therefore, reopening the shed is not simply a matter of community bonding, but a step towards more sustainable living.

We call upon decision-makers to acknowledge the significance of the reuse shed and advocate for its reopening to the public.
