The Issue

The Issue:  Lack of investigation leads to unsupported suicide ruling and non-criminal status in case closure.

Chance Edmiston was 27 years old when on July 7, 2023, he was shot in his own front yard while striding down his sidewalk. Henry County Sheriff's Office of Missouri and former Coroner Dain Sisk epically failed Chance.

The Paper Discovery states the case status was closed as suicide at the exact moment the 911 calls came in, before first responders even arrived on scene.

HCSO and former Coroner Dain Sisk determined Chance Edmiston's case to be noncriminal/suicide without conducting an investigation, without an autopsy. GSR testing was never administered. No spent bullet or casing were ever found. No fingerprint or fiber testing was done on any aspect of the "Alleged Weapons Evidence," which has also seemingly been cleaned or swapped after chain of evidence shows it was entered into the evidence locker.

The ER doctor stated on July 7, 2023 the entry wound was to the left temple.... Chance Edmiston was Right-Handed.

Please see Justice4chance.com for a comprehensive list of the corruption and incompetence Chance Edmiston's family has found while investigating Chance's case and to view the bodycam footage.
