In early 2024, our community in Prince George's County, Maryland, faced a tremendous loss when the closure of all five Bojangles restaurants abruptly left our community without access to this beloved establishment. As a dedicated resident of Oxon Hill, MD, I have frequented these locations for years, savoring the rich flavors of Bojangles' famous Southern-style chicken and biscuits. It's more than just a restaurant; it's a community hub where friends and family gather to enjoy good food and good company.

The closure of Bojangles has not only left a void in our hearts but has also forced many of us to travel great distances—in some cases, all the way to Sterling, VA—to enjoy their offerings. This situation is not only inconvenient but also disheartening for those of us who wish to enjoy the simple pleasure of a meal at Bojangles without having to undertake a road trip.

The reopening of a Bojangles location in Oxon Hill would not only restore this cherished establishment to our community but also bring back over 50 jobs that were lost with the closures, thus stimulating our local economy. Bojangles has been a part of our community's fabric, and its absence is profoundly felt by everyone who has appreciated their consistent quality and unique menu offerings.

To achieve this, I am reaching out to Bojangles' corporate office to appeal for the reopening of a location in Oxon Hill. Seeing the high demand and love for Bojangles in our area, we are confident that a new location would thrive here. Furthermore, reviving the restaurant would mean restoring a sense of normalcy and comfort to many families and individuals who otherwise have to seek alternatives.
