Dear Petition Supporters,

My name is Jason, and I’m part of the Civic Engagement Team at Change.org. Our mission is to help bridge communication between petition supporters and public officials to inform and empower community voices.

I wanted to share the message I received from Councilmember Michael Wildes regarding the petition to renovate the basketball courts at Dunn Park. 

• He was aware of the petition and appreciated the community’s interest in improving the courts.
• While he supports the concept behind the renovation effort, he explained that moving forward requires following the city’s standard process.

Councilmember Wildes emphasized that constituents need to reach out to their individual City Council members and ask them to sponsor the project. Hearing directly from residents helps Council members prioritize initiatives effectively.
 
In short: The councilmember supports the idea but is not initiating the project himself. Success depends on formal City Council engagement and sponsorship, backed by constituent feedback.
