Growing up in Elbasan, I've always felt like this place, my hometown, had limited options for youth activities. As a young person trying to find something exciting to do, I often resorted to walking around town or playing football. Our city doesn't offer much for the youth to engage in, grow, or show their creativity. But i think we could change that. Imagine CHANGING the unused underground path in Parku Rinia into a SKATEPARK.

The sunken path thingy in Parku Rinia is currently an unused and neglected dirt underpass. It’s often littered with broken glass and even illegal substaces , making it not only uninviting but also probabaly unsafe. Despite its location in one of Elbasan’s central parks, the space sees almost no positive use and is mostly forgotten. By turning this area into a skatepark, we could offer young people something fresh, exciting, and genuinely meaningful—a space for skating, skill-building, and community connection.

Skateboarding is more than just a sport; it's a form of self-expression and community building. It can be a source of enjoyment, creativity, and healthy physical activity. Putting a skatepark in the heart of Elbasan would create a new hub of energy and foster a positive community spirit among young people.

Theres a lot of rowdy teenagers  around , but i believe with this skatepark we could change that too .Evidence shows that skateparks can significantly reduce negative behaviors among youth and encourage constructive activities. According to the national study “Beyond the Board: Findings from the Field,” conducted in partnership with the Tony Hawk Foundation, this shows that skateboarding provides a safe space that fosters community, reduces stress, and helps youth avoid negative behaviors such as vandalism and loitering

Lastly, this would mark the creation of the first WELL designed skatepark in Albania. It could attract national attention, boost local pride, and shift public perception of Elbasan, transforming it from a quiet town into a vibrant hub for youth culture and urban creativity
