Dunkirk skatepark in Calvert County, Maryland is in desperate need of modern renovations. It has been over ten years since the skatepark received any meaningful repairs. The current prefabricated ramps are worn out, the ground is cracked and rough, and any funding spent repairing the park in it's current state would only serve to kick the can down the road. 

The intention of this petition is to demonstrate that the community would like to see a fully modern design which replaces the existing prefab ramps with concrete, which is much safer and less expensive to upkeep long term. Additionally, this petition will demonstrate the community's desire for Parks and Recreation to build more skateparks in Calvert County, such as at the Dominion Energy Regional Park.
