Hello All, The March 1st meeting on the the Steamboat Meadows Development has been postponed. Attending the meeting tonight is not needed. Garret Gordon, our lobbyist/attorney, will be in attendance on our behalf in case there is any talk or action regarding this development. We have hired Mr. Gordon who is a local land use attorney/lobbyist with many years of experience in situations similar to ours. He will represent us to the City Council and Planning Commission and help guide us in our plan of action. He did advise that we keep sending letters to Reno City Council members voicing our opposition to the annexation and masterplan and zoning change requests by the developers. Please continue to be very professional and courteous in your letters...If we are hostile and rude it will be detrimental to our cause and could turn the votes against us. Again, let the city council members know how much we appreciate their hard work in the MidTown and Downtown districts, and to please keep focusing the City's resources and efforts there. Also, If you have pledged money but not yet donated, PLEASE get it to Judy Coulter ASAP, as we need funds NOW. More updates will follow as things develop. Thank you for your continued support.
