Star Wars: The Acolyte is a groundbreaking star wars project, the first TV show to be fully separate from the Skywalker era of the Star Wars galaxy and in doing so clearly lays the foundations for more insight into the story of Darth Plagueis and the Sith in general. 

As well as being groundbreaking in the ways described above The Acolyte opened the doors for so many Star Wars fans, new and old, to feel seen. To feel welcomed and accepted. Not only that, but The Acolyte became a beacon for representation that many fans have felt was lacking in the Star Wars universe for decades. 

The major complaints about the show are from very old Star Wars 'fans' who hate anything that isn't the original trilogy! And a lot of hate is about questions not being answered too... this is season 1, that is what the season 2 that you have just gotten canceled was going to do, but now your questions will go forever unanswered if the show is not renewed. If you don't like the acolyte don't watch it, but don't ruin it for the many many people who do by constantly harassing the producers on social media to cancel it.
