Merci Mack was a 22 year old black trans woman who was murdered on June 30. She was found shot to death in a parking lot at 6:15. In the past five years, more transgender people have been killed in Texas than any other state, The Dallas Morning News reported, and nearly half of those deaths occurred in Dallas.
