Renaming the United States to “Israel Proper”

The Issue

Living in this country with any semblance of dignity is becoming increasingly challenging. The escalating socio-economic disparities, coupled with a lack of adequate social safety nets, make it difficult for many of us to get by. The cost of living keeps rising, and for millions of Americans, affording basic necessities such as healthcare is a daunting task. Therefore, I believe renaming our country to “Israel Proper”, in a bid to secure funding from U.S. taxpayers would prove to be a major windfall.

In recent years, we've seen billions of American tax dollars channeled as financial aid to foreign nations. Significant amounts of this aid go to countries like Israel, a nation whose citizens enjoy benefits that many Americans can only dream of—such as universal healthcare and a robust welfare system. Meanwhile, countless individuals here at home struggle daily without the security of affordable, comprehensive healthcare or financial stability.

Renaming the United States to "Israel Proper" might seem a facetious approach to address these serious issues, but behind this suggestion lies a genuine plea for significant reform in domestic policy and budgeting priorities. If we could redirect even a fraction of these international aids towards domestic initiatives, perhaps we could implement universal healthcare that truly serves the people and uplift those caught in the unforgiving clutches of poverty.

This proposal seeks to galvanize awareness and action around the need for healthcare and economic reform by highlighting the stark difference in government priorities. It's time to take bold, imaginative steps to ensure all Americans have access to the resources they need to lead healthy, dignified lives.

Join us in calling for this symbolic yet impactful action. Sign the petition today and be a part of a movement challenging our leaders to rethink, rebuild, and prioritize American lives and livelihoods above all. Together, we can urge our government to invest in the well-being of its citizens and secure a future where dignity isn't a luxury, but a right accessible to all.
