Cody Franke, affectionately known as 'Barstool Beef,' was a beloved friend of mine and a former coworker of mine. In what would be his final and greatest achievement, Cody showed his incredible talent and spirit by winning the first Internet Invitational this year. Tragically, Cody passed away shortly after his remarkable victory, leaving a void in my life, Desert Willow Golf Resort, and in the world of sports we all cherish together.

Barstool Sports which Cody joined, as well and Bob Does Sports, have the power to honor his legacy in a most meaningful way. By renaming the Internet Invitational to the "Cody Franke Internet Invitational," we can celebrate Cody's life, achievements, and his enduring spirit that continues to inspire many.

Cody Franke's presence was more than just his golfing talent; he was a symbol of comfort, sportsmanship, and passion for both the game and as a person.
