The recent commercialization of lobster fishing, notably led by various groups in Maine, alongside political influences have contributed to an eroded traditional lifestyle. The current administration under Janet Mills has been perceived as changing the cultural fabric of Maine’s coastline, which significantly diverges from the independence and integrity often associated with New Hampshire.

New Hampshire, as a state known for its fierce individuality and true reflection of New England spirit, presents a compelling alternative for this natural landmark's namesake. The New Hampshire coastline, with its rich history and absence of certain contentious activities, mirrors much of what New England values.
