We're happy to share that our request to rename the SPHS band room in honor of our father will be discussed at the upcoming SPUSD board meeting on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at 6:30pm.

If you are able to attend, we appreciate and strongly encourage you to utilize the 3-minute public input time slots to share your perspective on why the SPHS, South Pas and larger community supports the renaming of the band room after Mr. Crawford.

We believe that our collective voice and community support will be critical to getting some traction and will likely make the difference in our family's efforts.

The meeting is closed at 5:30pm and opens to the public at 6:30pm. Time slots for the 3-minutes must be requested before the meeting begins, so please arrive early if you can to this address:

If you are unable to join us for the 8/13 board meeting due to schedule conflicts or personal reasons, we ask that you continue to share this petition to reach our goal of 1,000 signatures and leave a message for our dad Mr. Crawford in his digital signing book. We are using testimonies from both the petition and signing book to further support our cause.

We are also working toward setting up a scholarship in Mr. Crawford's name for students interested in pursuing a college degree in music.
