Thank you to all that have signed this petition, attended our dad's retirement party and for sharing such kind words about his impact. He's officially turned in his keys and we're all so proud of his legacy and excited for his future! Here's what's next...

As mentioned, we plan to attend the SPUSD Board of Education meeting Tuesday 6/25 to initiate our ask around renaming the band room. If you are able to attend, we appreciate and strongly encourage you to utilize the 3-minute public input time slots to share your perspective on why the SPHS, SP and larger community supports the renaming of the band room after Mr. Crawford.

We believe some SPHS/SPUSD administrators are not in agreement with this initiative and that community support will be critical to getting some traction and will likely make the difference in our family's efforts.

The meeting is closed at 5:30pm and opens to the public at 6:30pm. Time slots for the 3-minutes must be requested before the meeting begins, so please arrive early if you can to this address:

Please note that this is just the 2nd step in our plan to bring this beautiful recognition to life. The petition was the 1st. We will look to get on the board's actual agenda for this and/or future board meetings until our voices are heard. We are also hoping to start a scholarship in his name.

We are using testimonies from both the petition and signing book to further support our cause.
