Brandi Publishes Op-Ed in the Huffington Post

Today, the South Carolina House of Representatives voted to remove the Confederate flag from the State House grounds. In an Op-Ed for Huffington Post’s Black Voices, our own Brandi Hatter talks about why the movement to rename the Edmund Pettus Bridge should be part of these conversations. She says: “...for Dylan Roof and others who would kill in the name of white supremacy, the Confederate battle flag and monuments honoring KKK leaders are not symbols of heritage or history. They don't remind them of the civil rights victories that we have won.
