Vladimir Putin is honorary president of the International Judo Federation. Judo is a martial art based on the Bushido moral code: Justice, Courage, Compassion, Respect, Integrity, Honor, Loyalty and Self-control.

In light of recent events, it becomes evident that Mr Putin disregards the very principles of Judo; and as such his position at the IJF has become untenable.
