Disability Rights needed in Australia’s 1918 Electoral Act

After every Federal Election the process is reviewed by a political committee.

Parents and Guardians of Australian disabled children are asked if 

‘They understand politics’.

They have never learnt about politics at school so invariably the parents say NO, and the disabled person is struck off the Electoral Roll for life.

This is direct discrimination. Doctors or family members can at any time remove an Australian’s  Right to Vote, without them being asked in person if they want to VOTE or even if they want to learn about THEIR #Democracy which affects every aspect of their lives.

Politicians can avoid considering Disability and Mental Health spending because THERE ARE NO VOTES IN IT.  This has had disastrous consequences with paternalist representation by Service Providers, instead of direct needs being funded.
