Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the supreme leader of Iran leads a terrorist regime in Iran. I am petitioning to de-platform him from social media channels (Twitter and Instagram) for spreading misinformation about his crimes against humanity, and terrorist activities funded by him in the Middle East and other parts of the world. He is anti-Semitic, regularly tweeting his hatred for Israel and the Jewish community. He is Islamophobic, authorising his Basij forces to arrest, beat or kill innocent Iranian civilians who are Sunni Muslims in the province of Baluchestan in Iran. He has publicly expressed his hatred for Saudi Arabia and other Sunni Muslim nations. He is a sexist and a homophobe. Women's rights in Iran are severely restricted as witnessed during recent events following the brutal murder of Mahsa Amini, many other women and young girls have been beaten, arrested, repeatedly raped or murdered by his forces in the past 6 weeks for simply for not wanting to wear their hijab in the way that he has mandated. Or for simply not wanting to wear a hijab. The LGBTQ community in Iran have always faced death sentences. In Iran the punishment for being openly Gay is execution. Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is also an agist. More recently authorising his Basij forces to open fire and kill children as young at 7 who during this uprising, have refused to sing a pro-regime anthems in primary schools. Videos circulating the internet showing his Basij forces even beating the elderly. Alongside his crimes against humanity, he has been shutting down the internet and social media channels in Iran during the current uprising against him. His radical, fascist regime claims that western social media platforms are a tool designed by the 'West' to control and influence people. YET, despite banning Iranian civilians from using social media, he himself has a very ACTIVE online presence where he openly spreads misinformation. This is a crucial time in history for the people of Iran who are risking their lives every day to overthrow this terrorist government therefore, it is paramount that Ayatollah Ali Khamene is not provided a platform to spread misinformation and hate. When the likes of Donald Trump and Kanye West have been de-platformed for hate crime, so should Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. He is guilty of far worse crimes!
