The Detroit Red Wings are a historic sports franchise. Not just in the sport of hockey, but in all of sports on a global scale. They are an 11 time Stanley Cup Championship team. The most of any team outside of Canada. A team that has had 58 Hall of Fame players don ICONIC winged wheel sweater. Players like Gordie Howe, Steve Yzerman, Terry Sawchuk, Nicklas Lindstrom, and Ted Lindsay. The list goes on.

It should not be allowed for an Original Six team (Detroit Red Wings, Chicago Blackhawks, Toronto Maple Leafs, Boston Bruins, Montreal Canadians, and the New York Rangers) to have advertisement on their uniform. That uniform is not only part of that team, but it is a part of NHL history, that team's city, and most of all, the fans.
